and special skills \n \n POSITION OVERVIEW: The Strategic Sourcing
Manager oversees all procurement activities for City of Industry.
Responsible for overseeing, selecting and purchasing quality
products including electronic components to include, but not
limited to, negotiating with and developing supplier relationships,
tracking orders, reviewing inventory levels, forecasting, quality
assurance and liaising with inventory teams and management.
Additionally, the position drives continuous improvement across all
procurement-related functions including controlling costs, ensuring
on-time delivery, and implementing effective inventory strategies.
Key internal partners include Operations, R&D Engineering,
Manufacturing Engineering and RCI. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND
RESPONSIBILITIES - The following outlines the primary duties and

daily purchasing operations carried out by buyers and purchasing
agents. \n Proactively take appropriate action to avoid shortages,
out of stock material, back orders and mitigate material lead-time
increases. \n Evaluate obsolete materials and inform Management of
the supplier suggestive alternatives. Request estimates where
appropriate and negotiate costs based on current standard cost. \n
Make recommendations on forecasts, utilizing existing market trends
and data analysis to effectively plan purchase releases while being
cost efficient. \n Define and monitor key performance indicators
(KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of planning and purchasing
functions. \n Collaborate closely with plant leadership to align
procurement and planning efforts with operational needs. \n
Continuously review performance metrics and process outcomes to
identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective
actions. \n Create and execute resource optimization plans to
ensure efficient use of materials, equipment, and personnel. \n
Partner with the corporate sourcing team to maintain regulatory
compliance across all site operations. Ensure all procurement and
planning activities comply with company policies and applicable
local, state, and federal laws and regulations. \n Manage, mentor,
and develop a team of direct reports, including buyers and
planners, to support organizational goals. \n \n WHAT YOU BRING TO

successfully, the applicable candidate must be a team player. \n \n
Education & Experience : bachelor's degree in supply chain,
business, engineering, or a related field is required. A degree in
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is strongly preferred. Must
have 3 years of planning and sourcing experience in a manufacturing
environment, preferably within the defense, aerospace, automotive,
or high-tech industries. \n \n Technical & Sourcing Expertise :
Strong hands-on technical aptitude with a proven track record in
sourcing electronic components such as AD converters, memory
modules, microprocessors, and Dyron. \n \n Leadership &
Communication : Demonstrated leadership in aligning and influencing
cross-functional teams toward common goals. Must be able to
effectively communicate and collaborate across all levels of the
organization, including global teams in various geographic
locations and time zones. \n \n Analytical & Decision-Making Skills
: Highly skilled in performing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
analysis to support data-driven supplier and component selection.
Capable of solving complex problems with limited precedent and
developing new standards as needed. Strong ability to manage
processes, analyze information, and make sound decisions. \n \n
Process Improvement & Strategic Thinking : Proven ability to drive
continuous improvement and lead change management initiatives that
result in enhanced profitability, product quality, and workplace
safety. Strategic thinker with strong planning and tactical
execution capabilities. Proficient in analyzing and interpreting
