Summary: The Fixed Operations Director provides training and development to personnel within Service and Parts departments as well as maintaining an efficient and profitable business unit. Essential Duties include the following; however, other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Manages the annual operating budget of the Fixed Ops departments. Controls and analyzes pricing for competitiveness and implements actions to drive results. Communicates objectives and the strategic plan in place to achieve these. Develops and promotes wholesale business while maintaining reasonable returns; utilizing manufacturers marketing funds where available. Determines department goals and ensures the team is on track to meet them. Identifies and implements best practices to eliminate roadblocks and enhance department performance. Manages receivables on a weekly basis. Engages production units in determining new goals and processes to achieve them. Promotes accessories through attractive and inviting displays and promotions. Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers always. Promoting an understanding of a strong commitment to client satisfaction. Promoting and understanding of a strong commitment to the Team. Forecasting and budgeting monthly and annual productivity, sales, expenses, and profit goals, and objectives for other critical activities within department. Projecting staffing and training requirements needed to achieve efficiency, productivity, sales, net profit, and client satisfaction goals and objectives. Establishing written policies and procedures to ensure that efficiency, sales, expense, and profit forecasts and client satisfaction goals are met. Maintaining procedures to assure timely collection of all data needed to accurately record sales, and expenses. Identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as applicable. Continually monitoring operating practice for compliance with all company and legal requirements and responding promptly and appropriately to noncompliance. Developing means of promoting cohesive interdepartmental and factory relationships that contribute to overall dealership goals and objectives Employing, developing, maintaining, and effectively scheduling a trained and productive staff capable of achieving or exceeding sales, net profit and client satisfaction objectives. Effectively communicating and enforcing operating policies and company and legal requirements applicable to operation of department. Regularly comparing employee performance to individual and group goals and objectives; identifying deficiencies and using corrective actions, providing training, and/or implementing corrective action on individuals or departmental basis as applicable. Manages Strategic Planning and Ensures Ethical and Legal Compliance for the Departments. Ensures that new business development programs are planned, implemented, and measured. Monitors and understands economic trends in the marketplace. Adapts to new technologies as they might related to parts operations. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual should possess: Fixed operations management experience with proven success in leading and managing a team to meet or exceed goals. High school diploma, or equivalent; College degree or equivalent experience; Ability to maintain high ethical standards; Ability to pay attention to detail; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language; work well with the public; communicate in a professional manner on the phone; Internet and in person; and use standard office equipment._Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions._ Physical Demands The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 15 pounds.
