Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for managing marketplace operations and performance excellence, at the same time driving growth and developing strategic partnerships for Newegg marketplace.

You'll have the opportunity to build your team and impact the seller relationships with Newegg. This is a critical leadership role in the company that will have a large impact on growth, profitability, and scale for rapidly growing categories.

Job Description

• Establish high-level marketplace partnership with key sellers to enhance collaboration while constantly recruiting potential sellers to enhance product portfolio.
• Develop effective strategies and goals for different category lines to meet achieved budgeted goals in sales, margin, operating profit, customer acquisition, repurchase, retention, and customer satisfaction.
• Look holistically at marketplace drivers such as supply and demand, pricing, scheduling, category and location in order to drive improvements to conversion, satisfaction and repeat rate.
• Manage bottlenecks, balance business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.
• Act as part of the product owner aligning strategies and roadmaps with our platform and sellers to create a positive and high performing culture.
• Work across the business with executives and functional leaders to set strategies, plan and goals to deliver on short and long term initiatives and outcomes.
• Other duties as assigned.

  The base salary range for this position in City of Industry, California is $70,000 - $90,000 annually.
  
  In addition to base salary, this job is eligible for additional on-target bonus or incentive. Additionally, Newegg offers a wide range of benefits to U.S.-based employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) program with employer match, and generous time off for vacation and sick.

  Job Requirements
  
  
  • Marketplace Expertise: Prior 8-10 years experience working with marketplaces and understand the demand and supply levers to drive customers and business success.
  • Data-Driven and Outcome Oriented: Experience using queries, reports, and dashboards coupled with strong analytical skills to back up assumptions, recommendations, drive action and monitor product health.
  • Strategic Vision: Strong business acumen and can establish and drive a strategic product vision in support of business and customer goals.
  • Flexibility: Manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with team members, while managing overarching priorities and outcomes.
  • Collaborative: Skilled at cross-functional support and proactively collaborate across multiple domains to motivate and drive alignment.
  • Strong Communicator: Superior communication skills, including the ability to crystalize and broadly socialize insights into stakeholder needs.
  • Experience launching both complex features and algorithms that optimize marketplace dynamics and improve business metrics and customer experience.
    
    Essential Mental & Physical Function
    
    Mental Functions: Decisions may affect a work unit or area within a department. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department. This position performs a variety of routine duties within established policies and procedures or by referral to the supervisor's guidelines.
    
    Physical Functions: Sitting is required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting is required. Constant keyboarding and telephone usage.
    
    Equipment Used
    
    Standard office and computer equipment including MS Office software.
    
    Work Environment
    
    Office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.
    
    Travel Requirements
    
    10% - 20% national travel is required.
