Work That Matters.OverviewPosition Summary: The Nurse Practitioner
provides nursing and medical services to patients, emphasizing
health promotion and disease prevention, as well as the diagnosis
and management of acute and chronic diseases. The NP I functions
under established standardized protocols and works autonomously as
well as in collaboration with other health care professionals to
diagnose and manage clients' health care needs.Neonatal Intensive
Critical Care Unit (NICCU): a level IV neonatal intensive care
unit, that features 58 beds and serves as an international referral
center with the majority of patients from the western United
States. We provide a complete range of medical and surgical
services for neonates with the most complex conditions. The unit's
specialized programs include the Extracorporeal Membrane
Oxygenation (ECMO) Program, a Whole-Body Therapeutic Hypothermia
Program, complex surgical specialties, highly specialized
ventilatory support & home ventilation program, neonatal and infant
diagnostic and follow-up services.Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years
pediatric clinical experience
required.Education/Licensure/CertificationsMasters of Science
degree in Nursing from an N.L.N. accredited graduate school of
nursing required.Graduate of an accredited Neonatal Nurse
Practitioner Program approved by the California Board of Registered
Nursing for "hold out as a Nurse Practitioner" as defined in
Section 1482, Nurse Practice Act, Business and Professional
Code.National Certification as an NP in Neonatal CareCurrent
California Registered Nurse LicenseCurrent licensure as a Nurse
PractitionerFurnishing license & DEAAHA BLSPALSNRPPay Scale
InformationUSD $123,136.00 - $221,645.00CHLA values the
contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final
determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary
based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to
education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay
scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that
meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this
specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for
those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and
