Clinical Director Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary The
Patient Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for
patients within the pain management practice, ensuring a smooth,
compassionate, and efficient patient experience from initial
inquiry through ongoing care. This role supports clinical staff by
coordinating appointments, verifying insurance, facilitating
communication, and helping patients navigate treatment plans while
maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Key
Responsibilities Patient Experience & Communication Greet and
assist patients in person and via phone, email, and patient portal
Provide clear explanations of visit expectations, procedures, and
next steps Respond to patient questions with empathy,
professionalism, and discretion Manage patient flow to minimize
wait times and optimize clinic efficiency Scheduling & Coordination
Schedule new and follow-up appointments, procedures, and imaging as
directed Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and outside records
Track cancellations, no-shows, and reschedules Ensure pre-visit
requirements are completed prior to appointments Insurance &
Administrative Support Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
Obtain prior authorizations for procedures, imaging, and treatments
Collect copays, balances, and required documentation Maintain
accurate patient demographic and insurance records Clinical &
Documentation Support Assist with intake forms, medical histories,
and consent documents Upload and organize records within the EMR
system Communicate patient needs and concerns to clinical staff
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and practice policies Operational
Support Support providers and clinical staff with daily workflow
needs Participate in process improvement initiatives Maintain a
clean, organized, and patient-friendly front office environment
Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent
(required) 1 year experience in a medical office or healthcare
setting (preferred) Experience in pain management, orthopedics,
neurology, or specialty care (preferred) Strong customer service
and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced
clinical environment Proficiency with EMR systems and basic
computer applications Knowledge of medical terminology and
insurance processes (preferred) Desired Skills & Attributes
