Veterinary Specialists, founded in August 2018 by five
board-certified veterinarians, aims to drive positive influence in
the veterinary community. With a state-of-the-art facility, a

medicine. Our 24/7 emergency and critical care team serves small
animal patients across Ventura and surrounding counties, accepting
walk-ins and referrals. We have a large, fully equipped, multi-unit
ICU that includes an isolation ward and quiet rooms. Our emergency
department team is fortunate to have access to our Internal
Medicine department six days a week, for consultation and
supportive services. We are a growing practice who is always

not limited to: Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital
reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer
questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and
direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule
appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and
check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer
friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner
during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with
various medical outcomes. Must be able to withstand unpleasant
odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste
and potentially contagious diseases. Whether you’re looking to just

hands on, interactive training and continuing development.
Qualifications We're Looking For: Minimum 1 year of veterinary
experience preferred or 3 years customer service experience in
other fields. Compassionate, calm team player with a positive
attitude. Exceptional multitasking abilities and strong
communication skills. Highly organized with excellent computer
proficiency. Self-motivated, with a desire to continuously learn
and grow in your role. Ability to handle emotionally charged
situations with professionalism and resilience. Excellent written
and verbal communication skills, especially in difficult or
emotional circumstances. Comfortable working in a veterinary
environment—must not be squeamish. Ability to adapt quickly to
changing situations and manage multiple priorities effectively.
