Job Description:
A company is looking for a Part B Authorization Specialist to
support their Rehabilitation and Revenue Cycle Departments.
Key Responsibilities
Process requests for prior authorization based on therapy
guidelines and contract criteria
Maintain and update internal databases for tracking authorizations
and communicate relevant information to staff
Provide training on the prior authorization process to new hires
and generate reports for the Rehabilitation and Revenue Cycle
teams
Required Qualifications
General understanding of the Healthcare Managed Care authorization
process
Experience in long-term care preferred
Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of daily
requests
Healthcare experience is essential
Proficiency in using multiple proprietary software applications
